Why do cats need grass anyway? All cats, whether domesticated or wild, naturally crave small amounts of fresh, grassy vegetation. Big cats in the wild regularly eat grassy vegetation to aid in their digestion. Our domestic house cats are no different. If our house cats do not have access to green vegetation, they will chew on and eat our houseplants many of which are poisonous! If you have silk or plastic indoor plants they may try to chew on them or dash outdoors to satisfy this instinctive craving.

Giving your house cat lawn grass or weeds to eat is not a good solution either especially if you live in an apartment, condo, or college dorm room setting. This is because most of the lawns and grasses at rental units and colleges are commercially treated with poisonous pesticides and fertilizers. Okay, so we've let the cat out of the bag so to speak with our mystery shopping experiment. All of the grass containers on the left were grown using oat grass seed from Poopsie Cat™.
On the right, we used oat grass seeds from a top internet cat grass seed company. The same amount of oat grass seeds were used in each growing container, the same soil was used for all of the containers, the same amount of water was given to each batch of seeds, and the growing conditions were exactly the same.
However, as you can clearly see, the com-petitor's oat grass on the right is...well, quite sparse and appears to be in desperate need of a Rogaine® type of stimulant for plants. On the other hand, all of the containers on the left grown with Poopsie Cat™ Natural Oat Cat Grass Seeds are full and lush. Do you even need to ask which container of cat grass your finicky feline would prefer to munch on?
